Our last photo recap of the 2026 Bronx Dominican Parade was a hit, so this time we’re back with another look back at Café Colmado’s Dominican Parade After-Party. Here, the all-day event made waves throughout the Lower East Side, as they closed part of Broome Street to bring out enormous chuchero speakers that emerged from an old ambulance and a minivan.

Throughout the day, Bachata, Merengue, Palo, Dembow, and Típico blasted through the streets and from inside the cafe as DJs Mari D and Dada Cozmic spun from the coffee bar and back patio, and Grupo Típico Euforia performed live. People in Dominican flags and attire completely filled the street, the café, and the patio. Despite the fact, everyone assured they had enough space to dance.

In the middle of the block party, Dominican lechones emerged with their traditional rope whips and rubber bladders. This time, the cultural symbols had balloons on their horns. Their street performance got the party going even more than it was before, as they began to party and dance with guests in the street. Drinks, both alcoholic and coffee, and the iconic Café Colmado sandwiches, flowed throughout the day and into the night.
