Arms were swinging, drinks were spilling, voices were lost, and adrenaline was pumping on a casual Wednesday in lower Manhattan’s venue NuBlu—and that’s because Planta Industrial brought the high energy to perform their new EP, Punk Wave Sin Barreras Volume 1: Conociéndonos.

The Dominican duo from the Bronx comprises Saso and aka the darknight, and they are trailblazing the horizon of marrying punk, hip-hop, Caribbean, and New York City cultures into their dynamic discography. The nine-track debut EP features their popular songs, including “Oi,” “That’s My Bitch,” “Anormales,” and “Teteo in the Bronx.” Yes—they even have an iconic one-second song called “NEW YORK!!”
