Advisry FW26: Return of the Space Cowboy

The collection conveys how nostalgia can transcend the passage of time and how that can be translated through timeless garments.

Nostalgia can take many forms: memories, objects, and people. For Keith Herron of Advisry, nostalgia in his Fall/Winter 2026 collection, Return of the Space Cowboy, showed up as a feeling. The narrative of the collection is a character study of three themes that coincide with the title: returning, space, and cowboys.

The storyline, in addition to the garments, confronts memory, history, distance, futurism, rebellion, and self-expression. The concept of space pays homage to Jamiroquai’s interior futurism, and the cowboy element evokes scenes from the anime Cowboy Bebop. Return of the Space Cowboy takes us through different periods of time, giving us a sense of familiarity rather than seeking the unknown.

The runway show began with a tap dancer named Ja’Bowen Dixon. An art that was once one of the most popular dance forms from the 1930s to 1950s now seems like a faint memory that reoccurs every blue moon—and that is what Return of the Space Cowboy evokes; evolving by repeating traditions and art forms rather than inventing new ones.

Herron returns with Advisry’s signature silhouettes, patterns, and materials, featuring elevated streetwear looks. Embroidered hand gloves line the pockets of trousers; camera-shaped bags are reimagined in new colors; bouclé tailoring, oversized handbags, and duffels; and relaxed-fitting garments and outerwear are paired with complementary hues.

Return of the Space Cowboy introduces new motifs and silhouettes, including tweed, fur details in collars and gloves, plaid and checkered patterning, oversized top hats with horns and various shapes, zip-up boots, knitwear, and leather. The collection also expands on experiential couture in both menswear and womenswear, bringing movement and structure to the garments through sheer, balloon, and ballerina dresses.

While much of this season’s design composition was born in 2023, Herron has since expressed similar themes and ideas through new forms of emotional reference. Return of the Space Cowboy conveys how nostalgia can transcend the passage of time and how that can be translated through timeless garments.
