For its second collection, womenswear brand Fruity Venus solidified its position as an up-and-coming label rooted in functionality and playful elegance. The New York-based brand, founded by designers Noah Pica and Paul Negron, was born of years of working at major fashion houses and a desire to create something of their own. The label focuses on thoughtful local production while creating functional pieces for the everyday Venus.
For Fruity Venus’ fall collection, the garments focus on elevated everyday pieces that can be worn on the town and to the office; functional with a twist. “The collection is decisively fall in tone, driven by heavier wools, corduroys, plaids, and stripes, and a palette that feels deeper and more grounded,” they said.
It has something for everyone, with more masculine oversized dress shirts and dresses with feminine yet structured silhouettes. This second collection is the older sister of their first, more mature, with the playfulness of girlhood still alive in their functional pieces. All the garments are made to be worn, and the materials cinch and sit without any extra tailoring. Intentionality at its finest.

The collection is inspired by 1920s and 1980s shapes, making a playful nod to vintage silhouettes for the modern woman. Their collections dress many moods and identities, from tomboys to sirens to ingénues, all shaped by hands-on craftsmanship and an ongoing creative dialogue.
The designers drew inspiration from your Girl Next Door, mixed with the theatrical pageantry you would find at the Renaissance Fair. Key pieces include a classic collared shirt with exaggerated dolman sleeves, a bias-cut pant, reworked bustle forms, and a classic men’s necktie introduced as a styling element within the wardrobe.
